Seamless resin floors for Bournemouth garages and workshops

Bournemouth is one of the areas we work in most often, and a good number of the floors in our gallery were installed here, from Westbourne and Winton to Southbourne, Boscombe, Christchurch and Ferndown. Coastal garages take a beating from sand, salt and damp, which is exactly what a bonded resin floor is built to shrug off.

We diamond-grind the existing concrete, repair it and lay a seamless resin system in the finish you choose: flake, solid colour, metallic or self-smoothing. The result is a floor that stops dusting, wipes clean and turns the garage into a space you can actually use. Quotes are free and there is no obligation.

Resin floor finishes we install in Bournemouth

Every system below is a bonded epoxy resin floor rather than a paint, so the choice comes down to look and how hard the floor will be worked:

  • Flake: vinyl flakes broadcast to full coverage over a pigmented base coat and sealed with a clear UV-stable topcoat. Our most requested finish in Bournemouth because the speckle hides sand and dust between cleans and gives extra grip when the floor is wet.
  • Solid colour: two coats of high-build epoxy in one colour for a crisp, uniform showroom floor.
  • Metallic: pigmented metallic epoxy poured in ribbons and worked across the base coat for a marbled, one-of-a-kind surface, sealed with polyurethane or polyaspartic.
  • Self-smoothing: a 3–4mm poured epoxy that levels itself into a flat, glass-like floor. The best option for workshops and for older slabs that are no longer level.

Flake blends and solid colours are shown on our colour chart, and we bring physical samples to every quote visit in Bournemouth.

Built for coastal garages

Garages near the seafront and along the Stour see more moisture than most. Before any resin goes down we test the slab and, where there is damp or a history of moisture coming through, we prime with a moisture vapour barrier (MVB) epoxy primer so the floor stays bonded. The finished surface is seamless, so there are no joints for salt water or sand to work into, and it is resistant to oil, petrol, coolant and road salt tracked in from the car.

What a Bournemouth resin floor installation looks like

  • Day one: diamond-grind the whole slab with dust-extracted grinders, edges included, then fill and grind flush any cracks, holes and salt pits.
  • Day one to two: prime if needed, then apply the base coat and broadcast flakes or work the metallic layer.
  • Day two to three: scrape and vacuum the flakes, then seal with the clear UV-stable topcoat.
  • Afterwards: walk on the floor after 24 hours and park on it after 5 days.

Most single and double garages are finished within two to three days on site. Larger workshops and triple garages are quoted individually.
