Resin floor systems for London properties

Flake resin floor: a pigmented epoxy base coat with decorative vinyl flakes broadcast to full coverage and sealed under a clear UV-stable topcoat. Textured, forgiving of dust and tyre marks, and the usual choice for a family garage.
Solid colour resin floor: two coats of high-build epoxy in one colour. Clean and uniform, popular for garages used as gyms, studios or showrooms for a prized car.
Metallic resin floor: metallic pigments worked through the epoxy for a flowing, marbled finish that is different on every floor, sealed with polyurethane or polyaspartic.
Self-smoothing resin floor: a 3–4mm poured epoxy that finds its own level. The right system for workshops, lock-ups and older slabs that are pitted or out of level.

Access is usually the first question in London, so we plan around it: our grinders and vacuums run from a standard supply, the process is dust-extracted, and materials are brought in by the team rather than delivered on pallets. Integral garages under living space are sealed off while we work. For railway arches and lock-ups with damp or oil-soaked concrete we grind back to clean substrate and prime with a moisture vapour barrier before the resin goes down.

How long does a London resin floor take?

A single or double garage is typically two to three days on site. Day one is diamond grinding and repairing cracks, holes and salt pits. Day two is the base coat and flakes or metallic layer, and the clear topcoat follows once that has cured. You can walk on the finished floor after 24 hours and drive on it after 5 days. Larger workshops and multi-bay garages are surveyed and quoted individually.
